  • poetic devices that are used to convey ideas, feelings and images

  • Novel Review: Students will choose a novel they have read and write a review.
  • Timed persuasive essay
  • Choose at least two Literacy Performance tasks
  • Write a nonfiction piece.
  • Timed expository or comparison essay.
  • Choose at least two Literacy Performance tasks
  • Write five different types of poems & create a personal mini-poetry book
  • Compare & contrast a poem and one song with the same theme and how each piece deals with the theme
  • Choose at least two Literacy Performance tasks
